One of the provincial goals for French as a Second Language (FSL) is to increase student confidence, proficiency, and achievement in FSL.

This Spring, HWCDSB students will have the opportunity to participate in the Grade 12 FSL Student Proficiency DELF Pilot Project. Students enrolled in FSF4U or FIF4U this school year will be able to participate in the DELF testing.

DELF (Diplôme d’études en langue française) is an internationally recognized certification that measures and certifies the students’ level of French proficiency. Upon successful completion of the exam, students will receive a DELF certificate awarded by the French Ministry of National Education (France).

The test is offered in three levels of proficiency:
• DELF A2
• DELB B1
• DELF B2

DELF Exam Dates for 2023:
• B2 - Monday, April 24, 2023
• B1 - Tuesday, April 25, 2023
• A2 - Wednesday, April 26, 2023
