We’re excited to announce that Newman students have been invited to take part in Speak Up and Shine, an annual youth leadership event hosted by YWCA Hamilton in partnership with the HWCDSB, HWDSB, Sisters in Sync, and the City of Hamilton. 💬✨
This inspiring event connects young women and gender-diverse students with peers, allies, and community leaders — empowering youth across Hamilton for over 25 years and celebrating more than 5,000 participants! 🙌

Date: November 19, 2025
Location: Liuna Station, Hamilton
Transportation: A school bus will be provided — students should check in between 10:30–11:00 AM. Lunch is included 🍴, and the event will conclude around 1:30–2:00 PM, with return to Newman for dismissal.
