Nov. 26 OSSLT + Modified Timetable Schedule
This is a reminder that the Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test (OSSLT) will be administered to all Grade 10 students, as well as any previously eligible students, at St. John Henry Newman Catholic Secondary School on Tuesday, November 26th.
It is important for students to do any updates required for their board issued Lenovo laptops and make sure they are fully charged before arriving to school to write the test.
Key Information:
Date: Tuesday November 26th
Start Time: 8:00 a.m. (students should arrive by 7:45 a.m.)
Location: Various assigned testing rooms at St. John Henry Newman CSS
Buses: Buses will run on their regular schedule
Preparation: Students are encouraged to review OSSLT preparation materials available on LMS, through their teachers, and on the EQAO website.
Please ensure that you bring your Ontario Education Number (OEN) on hand for the test and that you leave personal devices at home or turned off, as these are not allowed in the testing room.
MORNING TIMETABLE
7:45am: open rooms and allow students to be seated
OSSLT 8:00-11:00am
Tutorials in Cafeteria 8:00-11:00am
AFTERNOON TIMETABLE
Common Lunch: 11:00am - 12:00pm
Period 1 12:00-12:30pm
Period 2 12:30-1:00pm
Period 3 1:00 – 1:30pm
Period 4 1:30-2:00pm
Period 5 2:00-2:30pm
Students with support needs will continue to receive assistance from their Educational Assistants.
Regular specialized transportation will also be provided on that day.
