Safe Drinking Water
The results from the 2025 water testing for schools in the Hamilton-Wentworth Catholic District School Board are now available. We are pleased to report that the lead testing results for St. John Henry Newman Catholic Secondary School meet the Ontario drinking water quality standard, with lead levels at 10 micrograms per litre (10 µg/L) or below.
Since 2007, Ontario law has required all childcare centres and schools to flush their plumbing and regularly test drinking water for lead, ensuring the safety and well-being of students and staff.
