Dear Parents/Guardians,
We’re pleased to announce that registration for HWCDSB Summer School 2025 opens today Thursday, April 3rd. Summer School offers a valuable opportunity for students to earn a new credit, upgrade a previous course, or get a head start before the fallβ€”all within a supportive and engaging environment.
✨ Program Options
Students currently in Grades 9–12, as well as those entering Grade 9, have several learning formats to choose from:
πŸŽ“ In-Person Courses
Held at St. Jean de BrΓ©beuf and Cathedral High School, these full and half-credit courses run from July 2 to July 25, 2025, from 8:00 AM to 2:15 PM. Offerings include English, Math, Science, French, History, Phys. Ed., Civics, Careers, and more.
πŸ“ In-person exams take place on July 23.
πŸ’» Online Courses
Students can register for either full-credit or upgrade credit courses (students are eligible to upgrade if they have of 50% or higher when previously taking the credit).
πŸ“… Runs from July 2 to July 25 (full credit)
πŸ“… Upgrade courses run July 2 to July 11
πŸ“ Exams for upgrade courses take place in person on July 11. Final Exams for online full credit courses will take place in-person on July 23. 
πŸ”§ Co-Op/OYAP/SHSM
Students gain real-world work experience and earn credits through cooperative education, including OYAP and SHSM options.
πŸ“… Placements run July 2 to August 1, 2025
πŸ› οΈ Mandatory pre-placement sessions begin in late May and June.
🎯 Reach Ahead Program (current Grade 8 Students)
Students currently in Grade 8 can β€œReach Ahead” by earning a high school credit this summer! Offered both in-person and online, courses include business, Indigenous cultures, and tech.
πŸ“… Runs July 2 to July 25, 2025 **Students must submit their permission to attend form to their HWCDSB Elementary Principal & make their selection on myBlueprint. 
πŸ“ Registration: 2 Simple Steps
  • Step 1: Students log into myBlueprint via mysite. Click β€œContinuing Education” in the left-hand column, select the desired course type (In-Person, Online, Upgrade, Co-op, Reach Ahead), and register for one summer course.
  •  Step 2: Download and complete the attached Permission to Attend/Registration Form and return it to your  child’s guidance counsellor for approval.
